On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which falls on the third Monday in January each year, the Alaska Bar Association, in partnership with Alaska Court System, Alaska Legal Services Corporation, and local bar associations, host the MLK Day free legal help events at locations throughout Alaska.

Volunteer attorneys will provide 20-minute consultations to low to moderate income Alaskan in need of advice for civil (non-criminal) legal issues like FEMA appeals, family law, landlord/tenant, public benefits, employment law, probate, or estate planning issues.
