Law Related Education Committee - Third Judicial District

Mission Statement
The Law Related Education Committee is responsible for presenting programs and producing publications to aid the public in understanding the law and the legal system.
Law Related Education Annual Grant
The LRE Grant recipients are determined by a subcommittee made up of selected members of the LRE Committee.
Background: The Law Related Education Committee was allocated $5,000 in the Alaska Bar Association’s 2013 budget for Law Related Education activities in Alaska.
The Selection Criteria: The LRE Grant Subcommittee developed and considers the following criteria in determining the awards:
- Practical v. Education or Direct v. In-Direct
- Geography
- Will the project go forward without LRE funds? (i.e. is the project sustainable?)
