Emeritus Attorney

Rule 43.2. Emeritus Attorney

In order to qualify to be an emeritus attorney, a member needs to first be either an inactive or retired Alaska Bar Association member.  You can find information on submitting an affidavit to change to inactive or retired status on our website.  Once a member is inactive or retired, the member must then submit the Emeritus Affidavit. This affidavit only needs to be filed once and you will remain on Emeritus status until you request otherwise.  The Bar will contact the qualified Legal Service Providers to verify the work has been performed and that you are eligible to have your dues waived.

See Alaska Bar Rule 43.2.
