Retired Status
Member dues are due on or before February 1st each year. Member dues are not reduced or prorated when a member of the Association requests a transfer to inactive, retired or resigned status after December 31.
Retired membership is limited to former active or inactive members who are at least 65 years old and who no longer engage in the practice of law or hold judicial office or any other legal position in the State of Alaska or any other jurisdiction. Retirement is accomplished by completing the attached affidavit of transfer.
Upon receipt of the affidavit, the Executive Director will act on your request to transfer to retired status.
You will continue to receive the Bar’s publications and miscellaneous mailings.
