Member dues are due on or before February 1st each year. Member dues are not reduced or prorated when a member of the Association requests a transfer to inactive status after January 1.

- from Active to Inactive
- from Inactive or Retired to Active (after being inactive less than one year)
- from Inactive or Retired to Active (after being inactive more than one year)
- from Resigned to Active (after being resigned less than 5 years)
- to Retired
- to Resigned
- to Emeritus

ACTIVE (AC)
Member on active dues status in the State of Alaska, MCLE required
ACTIVE SENIOR (AS)
Member who, by February 1, 2020, is 70 years of age or more and admitted for 25 years on active senior dues status in the State of Alaska, MCLE required
ACTIVE OUT OF STATE (AO)
Member on active dues status outside of the State of Alaska, MCLE required
ACTIVE OUT OF STATE SENIOR (AOS)
Member at least 70 years old and admitted for 25 years on active senior dues status outside of the State of Alaska, MCLE required
DECEASED (DC)
Deceased member
DISABILITY (DI)
Member on disability inactive status (non-practicing), MCLE not required. See Alaska Bar Rule 30.
DISBARRED (DB)
Member disbarred for disciplinary reasons (non-practicing)
DISCIPLINARY SUSPENSION (DS)
Member suspended for disciplinary reasons (non-practicing)
EMERITUS (INE)
Inactive or retired members providing only pro bono services for qualified legal services providers, MCLE not required. See Alaska Bar Rule 43.2.
HONORARY (HN)
Honorary member
INACTIVE (IN)
Member on inactive dues status (non-practicing), MCLE not required
RESIGNED (RS)
Resigned member (non-practicing), MCLE not required
RETIRED (RT)
Retired member (non-practicing), MCLE not required
SUSPENDED (SP)
Member administratively suspended for one or more of the following reasons: nonpayment of dues, noncompliance of MCLE, failure to pay a fee arbitration award or failure to pay child support (non-practicing)
