The Lawyers’ Assistance Committee promotes the well-being of the legal profession and protects the public by providing education, respectful confidential assistance and referrals for members of the Bar, their families, colleagues, and clients affected by a member’s mental health and substance abuse issues.

The Alaska Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) is beneficial to everyone who uses it. The public benefits when legal services are made available. The Alaska Bar Rag is now online! Known for its often-irreverent and always-topical content, the Bar Rag represents the voice of the legal community in Alaska. It is edited and written by attorneys, for attorneys. Published in tabloid newsprint format quarterly in March, June, September, and December, the Rag is distributed by mail to all attorneys licensed by the bar association; to active and inactive members practicing outside Alaska; and to state and law libraries and bar associations in the other 49 states.
